Review of Love, Simon (2018) by Wael — 08 Jun 2018
Insanely heartwarming, and almost entirely taken faithfully from the book, this film is an emotional roller-coaster: it'll make you feel happy, nostalgic, and sad, leaving tears in your eyes through all of those moments.
It is a heartfelt nod at classical coming-of-age drama films, with that modern twist that is on point. The music fits the production so well (having Bleachers curate the soundtrack just might be one of the best decisions taken for this project).
In addition, the cast has that undeniable natural chemistry (so reminiscent of that of "The Breakfast Club"), making the movie relatable and more enjoyable. By the end of "Love, Simon", you'll be so overwhelmed, you'll barely be able to speak.
