Review of Love, Simon (2018) by Chris R — 08 Apr 2018
OK movie. Wish there was more interaction with the family. Only because it's obvious family was very important to Simon. The dad was a one dimensional character, footnote to the story. It's like they wrote the story without an at-home dad, then worried it might be too much of a reference to absent fathers and gay men, then added a dad but did no character development.
Dad asks for help with a video and puts up Christmas lights. Well...that's what Dads do! Too obvious. It's a waste of Josh Duhamel.
