Last night, my daughter met the author of the original book - from which this film was adapted - at Little Shop of Stories in Decatur. Great book and movie! I am SO GLAD that homophobia is progressively becoming an outdated mode of thinking, feeling, and behaving.
As a society, America, despite our current "leadership," has come a long way since the 20th century and I am thankful that my incredible daughter can be who she is without the admonition of closed-minded people.
Kudos to authors, film- makers, and the general public who realize that LOVE is LOVE and that, ultimately, haters can't do anything about it!
