Review of Love, Simon (2018) by Bobby O — 06 May 2018
The film was bubble-gummy pop at times, the characters were typically Hollywood - beautiful and all of the characters had shiny, clean clothes and big houses, but even still the film was fantastic. Having grown up as an LGBT youth in the closet as well, it was extremely relatable.
Every scene that happened I remember being in the exact same situation. Though not everyone has an easy road coming out, the film is a reminder for young people that everything will eventually work out.
It's a film you may cry at when happy and when sad and you can't help but get invested and root for every character.
