First off, I had extremely high expectations about the film. It got rave ratings from critics and audiences, thus an almost guarantee that I'd feel the same way. Plus, there was a huge possibility that I would empathize because the same coming out stage came to my life in quite dramatic fashion. Boy, this film was a huge disappointment. Everything about it seemed forced, contrived, raw. Scenes were conveniently placed to move from one scene to the other without real coherence. It seems like they wre just ticking off a checklist of what needs to be seen in a coming out movie. We were just shaking our heads in disbelief at the end.
