The gay version of Never Been Kissed, which doesn't make this film nothing special at all. What makes it sometimes boring and mostly cheesy is that it is too into the hero's journey that all the coming out plot becomes unrealistic.
It misses something like John Hughes' or even Greta Gerwig's insight.
