Something much more could have and should have been made out of this story. Not even the great Helen Mirren is able to pull this one out.

Based on true events, the story follows the shady dealings going on at a ranch that features sex for sale in the desert outside of Reno, Nevada in the mid 1970's. Helen Mirren and Joe Pesci are the married couple who run the club. But the appearance of a would be boxer sets some violent events in motion.

Joe Pesci is wasted in little more than a supporting role. Helen Mirren gives a great performance as always, but the material isn't up to her standards.
