Review of Love Me If You Dare (2003) by Janine P — 26 Nov 2008

I found the movie to be entertaining but the storyline was very strange and a bit disturbing at times. With every dare came another, more extreme, dare to a point where the movie seemed less realistic and more ridiculous. I was left with an unsettled feeling when the movie had finished, as many ends did not seem to get tied up. Also, after watching Julien and Sophie's life crumble to nothing but dares, I felt slightly depressed. It took me a few minutes to return to "real life" after getting so caught up in the escapades of the characters.

On a more positive note, I really enjoy the interesting camera angles, music, and colors that French movies such as this one (and Amelie) have.
