Review of Love Me If You Dare (2003) by Eylem E — 06 Apr 2010
You forget, having not watched a French film for a while, how very, very different their film-making is from America. This is on the most part a truly marvelous thing. The imagery, colours, mise-en-scene, characters and acting are all beautiful, perfect in fact.
The story is quirky, but in a good way. However, it is the ending that will throw you if you haven't watched a French movie in a while. It's not bad, just very different. I am a little on the fence with my final opinion on this film but I can say it is definately worth watching, if only for a visual feast and to make up your own mind!
