Review of Love Lies Bleeding (2008) by Richard W — 13 Jan 2008
It wants to be the new True Romance so badly, yet completely lacks everything that made that film so good; dialogue, music, good direction, performances, and crucially, characters. The whole thing very much feels like it was written by a teenager in the mid 90s.
Its also a demonstration of just how far downhill Christian Slater's film career has gone that he's reduced to supporting roles in cheap copies of his best film. He's in desperate need of a comeback.
Avoid this and go and watch True Romance instead.
