Review of Love Jones (1997) by P B — 17 Nov 2007
This movie is wonderful! I love so much about it that it's hard to start critiquing it. The best thing about it is that it shows alternative images of young Black Americans. They're articulate, creative and go through the same relationship problems as everyone else.
My favorite scene is when Larenz reads the poem "A Blues for Nina"! I melt every time, talk about sensual:) The ending is sort of a throwback to film noir which is nice and Theodore Witcher directed wonderfully.
