A truly beautiful story and the film lives up to this, in tone and acting and setting.
After reading bad reviews of this film, and knowing the book, I didn't have high expectations. I love the book, but thought they would have difficulty converting it to film, and as always with a book adaptation, there are bits missing, but it totally exceeded expectations. It could have been improved had it been in Spanish, but the film just works.
