Review of Love, Honour and Obey (2000) by Andy C — 08 May 2008
An unbelievably funny film. The words 'Peurile' and 'Childish' were without definition until Burdis and Anciano got together to make this. Although violent and, during the LSD torture scene, occasionally uncomfortable to watch, this is packed with some memorable lines and stand out performances by a group of actors who obviously did it as a favour for old friends.
A basic North / South London gangster plot is the background for a story of ambition, greed and viagra. At times disheartening, especially during the 'Sheik YourCory' scene, it's a film that somehow manages to get away with appearing to be so bad, that it's actually good.
And it IS very, very good. Overlooked and largely forgotten, see it if you get the chance -"Your fat, and I'll throw you in the river!".......
