Thought it was worth seeing and touching. Definitely they do weave both an interesting and somewhat original and even timely storyline with the romantic comedy aspect. I think most people have some degree of exposure to these self-help gurus of one flavor or another and hence will get and relate to that part of the movie which is actually the biggest part.

But the romantic comedy is woven fittingly with the girl helping in the redemption of the guy. The feel that pervades the movie that I think some think of as awful is very much a reflection of the state of being/mind of the male character.

If you are willing to follow that, you can be right there in this movie and it has a lot to offer.
