Review of Love Happens (2009) by Carolyn G — 27 Sep 2010
Aaron Eckart plays a self help guru in Seattle for a three day seminar he is hosting. Despite teaching others how to be ?A-OK? in terms of dealing with the loss of a loved one, he is wrestling with his own past that still haunts him.
If that were the only story in this film it might have been pretty good. However there is a very awkward quasi-romance, a wretched subplot about the guru potentially selling out and a ton of cliché. And what a terrible title! Definitely not worth the time.
