Review of Love Don't Co$t a Thing (2003) by Tyler J — 10 Nov 2007
Nick Cannon goes from nerd to cool guy in this movie. (We have seen this plot done many times before in movies.) Christina Milian wrecks mom's car and gets $1500 from Nick to pay for the damages. Both of them were using each other.
Wouldn't any teenager who had $1500 easily fine a beautiful girlfriend without using bribery. Everyone knew that Christina and Nick would end up together at the end of the movie. Steve Harvey is the same type of character in every role he plays.
This movie would have been better and less predictable if Nick would've ended up with Reagan Gomez Preston or Nicole Robinson. Also, the basketball player would have been ejected from any real high school basketball game if he would have tried to fight some nerds in the stands.
Overall, this movie was very fairytale and predictable!
