It's not a bad romantic comedy, you know the type, with the player-boy and the no commitment girl, it excels from being your run of the mill flick with genuine good performances and an intriguing pharmaceutical wars side story.

Unfortunately the plot diverges into a pretty narrow straight forward romantic drama towards the end of the movie. It's ashame because I found the pharmaceutical wars to be a highpoint, in fact it is the hook the film uses to draw us into Gyllehals charachter, and abandoning it all together for standard schmaltz seems like a cop-out.

All in all not a bad a date movie.
