Review of Love & Other Drugs (2010) by Sheridan P — 07 May 2013
The first third is a pleasing sideswipe at Big Pharma disguised as a fizzy rom-com but when the tone becomes more serious and the messages get more mixed it loses it's way and eventually just plumps for a Curtis style Grand Romantic Gesture to wrap things up.
This feels odd after the otherwise convincingly tumultuous relationship Hathaway and Gyllenhall have been adeptly portraying during the rest of the run time.
