Review of Love and Other Disasters (2006) by Bernard N — 15 Jun 2008

Better than I anticipated.. I was expecting some lower-budget random british film, but i'm actually surprised that this one didn't make it to U.S. theaters.. it definitely wasn't the best film ever made (most movies aren't) but I liked the way certain moments of the film made the characters aware that they were in a romantic comedy.

there were a lot of moments that had me laughing out loud, too. the only thing I didn't like was brittany murphy's sad attempt at a british accent.. it works for her character, but I feel like they added the "she grew up in america" backstory because she couldn't pull off an accent.

oh well, still one worth watching.
