Review of Love and Other Disasters (2006) by Miona J — 19 Feb 2009

Not quite what I expected and had imagined just based on the cover and cast. It turned out to be a British style strange, humorous, romantic comedy.

Brittany Murphy played Jacks who workes in Vogue, loves Audrey Hepburn and dresses like she and lives with his gay best friend. Matthew Rhys played this gay best friend who is a movie screan writer and he is always dreaming and thinking he's somewhere else. Then there is this strange woman who's a poet and always high or drunk.

If you expect to see Orlando Bloom and Gwyneth Paltrow in this film - forget about it - they only appear about 20 seconds in the end.

I was little bit out of the movie because I watched it without subtitles.
