Review of Love and Other Disasters (2006) by Giorgos V — 27 Jun 2009
I fell in love with this movie despite my better judgment. At first, the meta-movie theme was cute, but the movie gradually became more and more self-aware, which ruined the magic. The performances were all amazing, though I did find Catherine Tate to have the most memorable performance of them all.
I probably will watch this movie dozens of more times though I fully know that it is not as clever as it thinks it is and becomes the exact type of movie it apparently resists.
