Review of Love and Monsters (2020) by Avde — 17 Apr 2021
It's ok. A fun take on the heroes' journey with likable characters, solid action and a laid back light-hearted tone.
A bit predictable and trope savvy, with one of the worst protagonists-split-up-before-the-climax scenes I've seen in a while, but it's held up by its premise, great monster design and excellent pacing. Nothing groundreaking you haven't seen before, but I was entertained and would happily watch a sequel.
