Along side with Twilight Samurai, this is another favorite of mine. Although the plot is pretty predictable and the story is nothing special, the cast is what makes this flim shine through. Where the protagonist in TS is passive, LH is agressive which puts a differnt kind of sauce to the climax.
Yamada Yoji never ceases to deliver great sword fighting scene and has surprised me with the portrayal of the REAL Zatoichi!
