Review of Love & Friendship (2016) by Amy B — 18 Jun 2016
The dialogue was witty, but the directing and editing was poor to say the least. Don't expect a film like Pride and Prejudice or Sense an Sensibility. The director is more interested in clever dialogue than acting or storytelling, so you get a film where the actors are delivering their lines rapid fire with little emotion and the story jumps around with little explanation.
Because many of the lines, particularly those of Kate Beckinsale, are delivered so quickly and with so little emotion, you have focus real hard just to understand what she's saying. A big disappointment!
