Review of Love & Friendship (2016) by Matt G — 23 Nov 2016
A high class screwball comedy about the politics of gender relationships in high society. So...Downton Abbey with even more snark. Beckinsale is wonderfully vindictive and conniving, and the dialogue is often musically amusing.
However, the dry style and proper delivery get tiresome. Still, I'm sure Austen fans will be pleased enough, as will many others.
