We don't all go to the movies for the same reasons. If you like action movies or thrillers or science fiction, this is not your cup of tea (as it were)... indeed, my husband gave me $20 and begged me to go without him! But if you enjoy a witty, intelligent, beautiful-to-watch period piece you will certainly not be disappointed with Love and Friendship.

There were plenty of laughs and obviously delighted people in the audience at the showing I attended. It's delightful escapist entertainment to a more civilized (oh really?) era. I hope it finds its audience.
