Definitely an overlooked classic from the comedic genius Allen... Taking a major cue from Russia epics and from seems like a condensed philosophy textbook, you follow his Boris character through life and love and, well.
.. Death... What is funny to me is the seemingly out of place moments that are satirically placed, like a cheerleading squad in the middle of a Napoleonic battle or a black drill instructor taunting him at "boot camp".
.. Even his trademark glasses are funny and out of place...
