Review of Love & Basketball (2000) by Cottoncandy — 17 Sep 2008
Not as bad as I thought it would be, but for all the hype my friend gave it I really wasn't overly impressed. Some scenes were sweet, and some well shot, but other than that there wasn't a lot holding it together.
Both leads did a good job, although the characters they played could sometimes be so utterly hypocritical and annoying, and the supporting cast, especially Alfre Woodard and Dennis Haysbert did a terrfic job and upped the standard of the film slightly.
Over all not a film high on my list of recommendations, but if it's on and you have a few hours to kill it isn't all bad.
