Love and Basketball is by far, one of my favorite movies of all times. From start to finish, I was deeply moved by the writer's ability to pull me in and keep me wondering which way this was going.

Sanaa Lathan and Omar Epps gave superb performances; and the absence of stereotypical language, violence and lewdness was a welcomed relief. My only hope is that more movies of this caliber will begin to surface and that movie goers of all genres will be able to appreciate and support them from, not just an African American viewpoint, but from a humanistic one as well.
