Review of Love and a .45 (1994) by J D — 30 Mar 2008
Wants to be another "True Romance", but lacking interesting visuals, sharp dialogue, or talented actors, it's a far cry from any of the other Tarantino-inspired crime movies of the mid-'90's.
Gil Bellows and Renee Zellweger are fairly bland leads who you ultimately don't really care what fate befalls them. Rory Cochrane does what he can with a ridiculous, poorly written character, and the only bright spot in the cast, Jeffrey Combs, is barely in it.
Violent and boring, a bad combination.
