Review of Love Actually (2003) by Ken S — 13 Dec 2014

This British rom-com set around Christmas is overstuffed with storylines, characters amd cliches....but damned if I didn't admit enjoying much of it. Would it had been better served if some of the stories were cut and some were expanded? Yes.

Does it seem to be just a collection of rom-com's greatest hits of cliches? Yes...but they are executed well. I think the movie does have too many stories and characters, and it definitely could have stood to lose some.

Still it was charming and had a a good cast. I doubt I'd want to sit through it's extended runtime again, but I think it works for those who want an overstuffed rom-com.
