Review of Louie Bluie (1985) by Russell G — 18 Aug 2010
I blind bought this based on liking Zigoffs other work. It was one of those rare films that became an instant favorite. I'd never heard of Howard "Louie Bluie" Armstrong before seeing this, and I bet you haven't either.
Don't let that stop you from seeing this. It will make you feel alive. If you like documentaries or music, you owe it to yourself to see this. I can't recommend it enough. My only complaint is that there's only about 90 minutes of footage, I could watch and listen to Armstrong for days.
