There is a message in here somewhere but the audience just struggles to find it underneath all the cliche script and tiresome stereotypes. The idea that someone in the projects is going to win a ticket and not get killed for it is impeccable.

Either way, Lottery Ticket does show that money won't make you happy if the people around you aren't. I guess that's the message. But with very little to go on, Lottery Ticket find itself in the middle of nowhere at the end of the film.
