Review of Lottery Ticket (2010) by Kevin M. W — 21 Aug 2010
The Lottery Ticket is the forgettable tale of winning the lottery and having to survive the holiday weekend from thugs, cheats and hit men before claiming the life-changing riches. Instead of presenting a new story, Bow Wow (Like Mike) is chased from one set up to another avoiding baby-mamas, spending money he doesn?t have, and establishing an entourage of ?friends? hoping to get their share of the wealth.
The film?s truly disappointing message is that no one can improve their live without the benefit of instant wealth. Every stereotypical character literally sits around waiting for their own version of TARP funding to improve their lot in life.
