Music video director Erik White directs "Lottery Ticket", a comedy in the spirit of "Barbershop". It tells us a story about a young teen Kevin Carson (Bow Wow) living in the projects.

He wins the lottery but finds the lottery ticket office is closed for the 4th of July weekend. When he gets back home, he finds that news has spread all throughout his neighborhood that he has the winning lottery ticket and all of his neighbors want a piece of him.

There is an all-star cast here with the comedic talents of Ice Cube, Mike Epps, Charlie Murphy, and Leslie Jones but none of them are used to their potential here. Erik White's music video directing style shows in the montages but even those scenes aren't as enjoyable as they should be.

"Lottery Ticket" is also filled with stereotypes and fails to take advantage of those stereotypes such as other films like "Soul Plane" did. Brandon T. Jackson does show promise as Benny, Kevin's best friend, and Ice Cube and Leslie Jones do have a couple of good jokes (especially when the films 1 F-word is used to quote the eternal line from the "Friday" movies) but overall this comedy is not as funny as it should be.

Crowds will be drawn in by the cast but this film is not worthy of its cast's talents.
