Review of Lottery Ticket (2010) by Suga F — 23 Nov 2010
I honestly don't see why this movie got blasted the way it did. Was it the funniest movie of all time? No. But was it entertaining from beginning to end? For the most part. In fact the only character who disappointed me this whole movie was Mike Epps as the pastor. While still funny, he could have been funnier if he could focus of pronouncing syllables a little bit better.
Aside from that, a corny ending, and the way money was valued ($100,000 does not get you ALL of that, nor does $370 million need be spent so modestly), the rest of the movie was entertaining. They made the smart move of letting Brandon T. Jackson handle the dramtic moment(s). Also, every character is just funny. My favorite moment is the map scene. It's neither too long or too short. It's a good comedy that stops shortly after it's run out of good comedy.
