Review of Lottery Ticket (2010) by Robert C — 11 Jan 2011
Not as bad as critics would have you believe and not as good as some of your friends would have you believe. It's biggest problem is that it hasn't decided what kind of movie it wants to be. Comedy, action, drama, satire? Unfortunately it trie to be all and fails to fully satisfy.
On the plus side, Bow Wow is developing range as an actor. Not great ,or even good yet. But he isn't laughable either. Brandon Jackson shows some good dramatic skills despite the director's or his desire to make his character a rip off of Chris Tucker in "Friday".
Loretta Devine, Terry Crewes, Charlie Murphy and Ice Cube are wasted in dimensionless roles.
