This movie is a dark version of what Detroit is suppose to be to the rest of the world. The story does reflect the problems of living with no hope BUT the movie goes on to say that if you have passion and are willing to do the ultimate act you can come back and move on to a more hopefully situation.
Bad leadership in powerful positions can come to an end and light s can be lite.
