Review of Lost in Translation (2003) by Ninjamafia — 19 Dec 2003
This movie is by far one the best this year. Definitely deserves best Drama. Hell, maybe even best picture. The thing is is that it portrays everything so realistically that you can relate to it. And now to comment on V.
D.'s review. Boring? Yes I once heard that the average American Attention span was about 7 seconds. Thats the thing, if you don't have explosions every 3 seconds, you lose the crowd. That is the way it is with a lot of movies.
Hell, I recently jusst watched the Leonardo Dicaprio version of Romeo and Juliet in school and tons of people found the ending extremely boring. My question is, WHY DON"T YOU PEOPLE STOP SEEING MOVIES theN? If you can't enjoy a good movie, then don't see movies.
I would be find if it were their opinion and had a bit more to say than just boring. Like, why it was boring. (Note: yes this is a bit late but I'm not calling Romeo and Juliet a good or bad movie, that is for another review so just lay off).
Overall, Lost in Translation may be the best movie all year. You would do yourself injustice not to at least give this a try.
