Review of Lost in Translation (2003) by Peter P — 06 Oct 2012
Great fish (fishes?) out of water tale with brilliant performances from Bill Murrary (who is one of my favorite actors and would have played me if they ever made a movie of my life, but only when he was younger, if it was made now Seth Rogen would have to play me, anyway) and Scarlett Johansson who is one of the most beautiful women in the world but can also act great too (everybody join me in hating Ryan Reynolds for a minute.
......................................... ..................................... .......................... .................................... ......................... .............ok, we can stop the hating now, cause he is too cool to hate for more then a minute) I like that it showed how different Tokyo is and and how alone someone can feel while being surrounded by people.
I think that sometimes it is a little too artsy and vague for its own good, but overall, I think that it is a great film and it was a pity that Bill Murray did not win the Oscar for it.
