One of those films that is funny, dramatic, romantic, depressing but on top of all that just true! I have to say this is one of Coppola's best work because it carries a peculiar strong message and amazing performances done by both Murray and Johansson.

I would also like to point out the beautiful scenery and representation of the Japanese culture set up in the film, it is truly carefully made and that deserves credit. The general message in the film is that in a place so isolated from communication and understanding, two complete opposites can become romantics.

The film fits in the dark comedy section as it starts on a light hearted note and ends with enough drama to make anyone burst into tears. Lost In Translation is truly a relatable, and represents why there still exists an art to the cinema and the reason why movies were made.

Not as sources of profitable entertainment but as a design and art. This movie will always remain in my top 10 and on my shelf for generations to come.
