Review of Lost in Translation (2003) by Alex M — 04 Jan 2014
It's an interesting chance to see Bill Murray give a really retrospective and endearing performance, amid a foreign landscape as eclectic and wild as japan. I didn't really see much of a story, but give it a shot for the relationship he shares with Scarlett Johansson, her first movie.
I liked it- I felt like I was on some faraway trip and observing these two lost people in a world unlike either of them have experienced before, but a welcome change to their otherwise drab and unhappy lives.
sofia coppola's only good movie in my opinion so far. one shot wonder I think.
