Review of Lost in Translation (2003) by Ken S — 05 Aug 2014
Bill Murray garnered some considerable praise for his performance in Sofia Coppola's film about people not only lost within another culture, but lost within themselves as well. Johansson and Murray are both quite good, their chemistry is decent.
The movie has a subtle sense of humor along with the wit Murray is always so sharp with, even if this is one of his more dramatic roles. This, along with Murray's work with Wes Anderson, was the beginning of Murray's turn in his career, in which his comedy career was winding down and he began to find more success with the dramas.
