Review of Lost in La Mancha (2002) by Michael S — 27 Mar 2008
This is a painful film to watch. Not because it shows people being hurt or tortured, but instead it shows what happens when one persons dream becomes way too big for the reality of the situation. This film follows Terry Gilliam attempt to make a Don Quiote picture, and the complete crash that happens when the production comes to a grinding hault.
Filled with unsettling realism and awesome set pieces, you will find yourself sad that this movie didn't get made, but at least we have this document to show us why.
