Review of Lost in La Mancha (2002) by Mark O — 11 Mar 2009
Extremely absorbing and interesting documentary, showing hands on in full detail all the trials and tribulations Gilliam went through trying to make this movie. As we all know that the film never got made, it's especially painful in the beginning watching him be all optimistic, but knowing he's gonna fail.
I'm amazed at how calm and level headed everyone involved was while all the shit went down. It's even more sad that they did all that they could, there was no avoidable mistakes. One of the better docs I've ever seen.
