I had no idea that Shangri-La was made up. That was the biggest disappointment in watching the movie. Figuring out that Shangri-La does not exist. Nevermind what PC people may suggest otherwise of this 1937 flick, the "racist undertones" are no worse than our own more covert prejudices today.
Good Frank Capra entertainment.
