Review of Lost Horizon (1937) by Paul D — 10 Jun 2009
Capra shoots the first half of the film with a fast pace to complement the adventure story. But once we land in Shangri-La, the pace slackens and we realize that many of the characters are annoying while others are horribly underdeveloped.
The performances, especially Sam Jaffe, are fine for a film from this era.
