Review of Lost Highway (1997) by Damien K — 09 Jul 2009
This is one of the greatest movies ever made. Atmospheric, intriguing, sexual, violent, and refined in all those aspects. There is no explanation for the storyline overall, I believe, either in Lynch's mind or in the viewer's. And yet some things make sense somehow. You are not meant to figure out the mystery, you are meant to experience it, along with the many mindbending moments in this film.
For this and for many other reasons, such as the music, cinematography, performances, I consider this film a masterpiece, and definitely the greatest movie experience of my life.
