Review of Lost Highway (1997) by Jo S — 12 Nov 2011
This film has some extremely disturbing segments, but fails to be cohesive. It has sub par acting for many of the supporting and bit roles (Loggia is a failure, as is Richard Pryor, who is basically Richard Pryor in a wheel chair), and the ending is telegraphed far in advance of the climax.
It would have been better if it had contained a supernatural or at least metaphysical element to the plot. I still think it's worth watching, just for the incredibly powerful imagery that occurs sporadically throughout.
