A really fucked up and often outright terrifying nightmare of a movie, and an underrated masterpiece from David Lynch. Part neo-noir, part horror movie. It's an unpredictable and disturbing experience, a bleak and haunting, surrealist story of obsession worthy of Hitchcock's Vertigo.
Watch late at night, all alone with a great sound system up full blast for the full disorienting effect.
